Flying to the Big City

Wednesday August 20 Lorne & Shawn are off in a sea plane to the big island.  We say our Goodbyes and pick up Capt. Charlie’s latest disk and play it while under way to points south. Well Penny and I are in tears of laughter after hearing his songs about “Going through the chairs”, “The fleet captains lament” and” A sailor with a power boat” .The other songs make us a little sad as we are leaving THIS MAGNIFICENT COUNTRY for the season.  We take the dinghy and head out for a last walk at Chevy’s most favorite place, Moore Bay. We top up on the good water and “TOoT, TOoT” we point the bow south.

Rob's In Charge Now

The course is plotted for Port Harvey and as we enjoyed the CD so much that we would buy up all their copies of the new disk “Sucia Sunset” for all the Past Commodores we know with a sense of humour? Pt. Harvey does not have latest CDs so we will have to find another way of getting some copies.

Arrived at Port Harvey

Port Harvey From the Shore
Port Harvey has continued to improve thanks to Gail and George’s very hard work. The Marina is full and Penny and I enjoy hamburgers and fries at their Red Shoe Restaurant and I have a wee dram of scotch and Penny her white wine.  I want a large Ice cream, but am cut off at the pass by the Admiral as no sweet stuff for Davey. Oh well, she is only trying to whip the crew into shape. Chevy did not ask for ice cream after the senior officer was turned down.
Lights out, Chevy in bed and Pen is down to the last twenty pages of her novel.
